Prime Video Greenlights 'Fallout Shelter' Reality Competition, Opens Casting

Casting is open to adults 21+ ahead of a June shoot for a globally distributed Prime Video series.

Overview

  • The ten-episode unscripted show places contestants inside Vault-Tec vaults for escalating challenges, strategic dilemmas and moral crossroads leading to a large cash prize.
  • Competition tasks will explicitly test Fallout’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck.
  • Studio Lambert leads production in co-production with Kilter Films and in association with Bethesda Game Studios, with executive producers including Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, James Altman and Todd Howard.
  • Applications close on February 15, 2026, with eligibility reportedly requiring age 21+, a valid passport, willingness to travel to the US/UK, and background, physical and psychological screening.
  • Filming is expected to take place in June 2026 over roughly three weeks, the series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in 240+ countries and territories, and no premiere date has been announced.
