President Murmu Completes Braj Pilgrimage With Govardhan Parikrama to Conclude Three-Day UP Visit

  • On March 21, President Droupadi Murmu offered prayers at Govardhan’s Danghati Temple and performed a mahabhishek using 11 kg of milk, curd, honey, ghee and powdered sugar, according to officials.
  • She completed the 21‑kilometre Govardhan Parikrama after walking a stretch and using a golf cart for the remainder, with reports saying she became the first President to visit the town before departing for Delhi.
  • A day earlier in Vrindavan, she met Premanand Maharaj at the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram, held a spiritual dialogue and sought his blessings.
  • She inaugurated the newly constructed Oncology Block at Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram in Mathura, a facility intended to strengthen cancer treatment services in the region.
  • Earlier stops on the tour included installing the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi and offering prayers at Vrindavan’s ISKCON and Neem Karoli Baba ashrams.
