Porsche Launches 911 GT3 S/C, First Convertible GT3

The manual-only, non-limited model targets purists with a high-revving 4.0-liter engine backed by track-bred weight saving.

Overview

  • Porsche introduced the 911 GT3 S/C as its first GT3 with a fully automatic soft top and opened order books.
  • The car uses a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six with 510 PS (502 hp) that revs to 9,000 rpm and pairs only with a six-speed manual.
  • The soft top opens or closes in about 12 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h and uses magnesium ribs to keep a coupe-like roofline when shut.
  • Carbon-fiber body panels and magnesium center-lock wheels plus a magnesium roof frame hold curb weight to 1,497 kg, and carbon-ceramic brakes come standard.
  • The model is not limited in production, starts at $275,350 in the U.S., offers a Street Style Package, and is expected to reach American buyers in fall 2026.
