Porsche Launches 2027 911 GT3 S/C, Its First Production Drop-Top GT3

A production convertible caters to purists by pairing open-air driving with a manual, high-revving flat-six.

Overview

  • Porsche introduced the 2027 911 GT3 S/C on Tuesday, confirming U.S. deliveries for fall 2026 with a $275,350 starting price.
  • The S/C uses a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six rated at 502 hp that revs to 9,000 rpm, and it comes only with a six-speed manual and a fully electric roof that closes in 12 seconds.
  • Porsche says the convertible matches the manual GT3 coupe with a 0–60 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a 194 mph top speed, helped by a 3,322-pound curb weight.
  • Weight is kept down by a carbon fiber hood, fenders, and doors plus standard carbon-ceramic brakes and magnesium center-lock wheels.
  • The S/C will be a full production model rather than a limited Speedster, mixing GT3 hardware with S/T and RS-inspired carbon pieces and offering bespoke options like a Street Style package and an S/C-only Porsche Design watch.
