Overview
- Pony.ai delivered an initial batch of more than 100 Gen-7 robotaxis to Guangzhou Chenqi Mobility under an expanded cooperation agreement.
- The vehicles, based on the GAC AION V, will operate on Chenqi’s OnTime Mobility platform and are expected to enter commercial service soon.

- Pony.ai says the Gen-7 platform uses automotive-grade components with a lifespan up to 600,000 kilometers and a 70% lower autonomous kit cost versus the prior generation, with features like Bluetooth unlocking and pre-trip climate control.
- The company reports positive unit economics in Guangzhou and Shenzhen and is targeting more than 3,000 commercial robotaxis by the end of 2026.
