Overview
- The extraordinary program assigns about €37 million to 57 municipalities to co-finance projects that improve services, public spaces and accessibility with the goal of retaining population and correcting territorial imbalances.
- Final approval is scheduled for 27 March at the provincial plenary.
- In O Morrazo, Cangas receives roughly €1.1 million to upgrade streets around the health centre, Moaña about €900,000 for cemetery improvements, and Bueu about €600,000 for works near Rúa Nova de Arriba.
- Additional tranches include more than €5.2 million across Deza–Tabeiros–Montes and over €7.6 million for 13 councils, including €900,000 for Sanxenxo’s Silgar–Punta Vicaño seafront and about €807,000 in Poio for a seniors’ center.
- Nearly €5.9 million is outlined for O Salnés and Arousa across nine councils, while Vilagarcía and Cambados were excluded; Vilagarcía’s mayor threatens legal action as the province cites late or incomplete corrections.
