Polynesian Resort to Close Seven Seas/Floridian Intersection and Open New Bus Stop

Disney says the move is part of a multi-year World Drive modernization that changes guest arrival routes.

Overview

  • Disney confirmed that the intersection of Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way will close and a new on-site bus stop will begin service on Monday, July 13, 2026.
  • The new bus load zone sits between the Rarotonga building and the guest parking lot, just steps from the main lobby, and will serve Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.
  • Guests traveling to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT should use the resort monorail or boat and monorail respectively while buses serve the other parks and destinations.
  • Walt Disney World has emailed affected guests, posted on-site signage, and assigned Cast Members and front-desk staff to guide arrivals, and it asks guests to confirm building assignments and allow extra travel time.
  • The changes follow a temporary December relocation of the Polynesian bus stop to the porte-cochere, form part of a World Drive entrance and roadway project that runs into 2027, and may alter private-vehicle routes into the resort.
