Pollster Projects Reform UK Majorities in Norfolk and Suffolk

The model signals a near collapse for local Conservatives with Greens poised to lead Norwich without overall control.

PollCheck, which released projections Tuesday, puts Reform on 56 of Norfolk’s 84 divisions with Conservatives holding only Thetford East, which would flip a council now run by the party with 51 seats.
In Suffolk, under new boundaries that cut the council from 75 to 70 members, the model gives Reform 52 seats and leaves Conservatives on about two councillors.
For Norwich City Council, PollCheck expects the Greens to become the largest group while the chamber stays under no overall control, and it forecasts no Reform wins in city wards.
Local elections are back on for May 7 after a government U-turn, with Norfolk candidate nominations closing April 9 and Suffolk voter registration open until April 20.
Great Yarmouth MP Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain, running as Great Yarmouth First with 12 candidates, could split votes in that area and nudge results away from the model’s forecast.
