- Police Scotland has referred the case to the Police Investigation and Review Commissioner after Friday night’s fatal collision near Kinross.
- Investigators say a grey Ford Kuga, driven by a 44-year-old man, travelled north on the southbound side near junction 7 and hit a white Vauxhall Corsa driven by a 20-year-old man.
- A marked patrol reported the Kuga going the wrong way near junction 6, activated blue lights, and then came upon the crash scene.
- The M90 closed between junctions 6 and 9 for about 16 hours to preserve evidence, and fire crews cleared the scene by 2:36am after a 10:40pm call.
