Police Seize Millions in Cocaine and AK-47 in Eindhoven-Area Crackdown

Overview

• Police found 53 sealed blocks of cocaine valued at millions of euros during two ‘undermining’ control days in the Eindhoven region on 27 and 28 May.
• Officers also recovered an AK-47 style automatic rifle with ammunition during traffic checks and arrested multiple people in connection with that find.
• Separate follow-up searches in South Holland led to the arrest of a 40-year-old woman from Hellevoetsluis and a 42-year-old man from Oostvoorne after about 3,000 ecstasy pills plus small amounts of cocaine and crystal meth were seized.
• A 26-year-old man was detained in Best with 125 small bags of hard drugs, and police inspected dozens of premises and garage boxes, seizing drugs, cash and illegal cigarettes where found.
• The Public Prosecution Service has seized the drugs and cash and investigators from police, the Royal Military Police and the tax authority say the evidence will support extended probes and likely prosecutions into supply chains and asset traces.
