Police Seek Witnesses After Serious A449 Crash Near Colwall

Two women received emergency care before being taken to regional hospitals following the junction crash.

Overview

The collision occurred at about 6pm Thursday at the B4218/A449 junction and involved a black Mercedes and a white Vauxhall van.
One woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, and a second suffered potentially serious injuries and was taken to Hereford County Hospital.
West Midlands Ambulance Service deployed two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a critical care paramedic, a BASICS emergency doctor and an Air Ambulance Critical Care Car.
The A449 between Colwall and Ledbury was shut for several hours, with the junction still closed around 10pm, and the road reopened Friday morning.
