Police Seek Witnesses After Serious A449 Crash Near Colwall
Two women received emergency care before being taken to regional hospitals following the junction crash.
Overview
- The collision occurred at about 6pm Thursday at the B4218/A449 junction and involved a black Mercedes and a white Vauxhall van.
- One woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, and a second suffered potentially serious injuries and was taken to Hereford County Hospital.
- West Midlands Ambulance Service deployed two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a critical care paramedic, a BASICS emergency doctor and an Air Ambulance Critical Care Car.
- The A449 between Colwall and Ledbury was shut for several hours, with the junction still closed around 10pm, and the road reopened Friday morning.
