Overview
- A man approached and punched two people in the face aboard a CTA train at the Belmont station in Lakeview shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, then fled the scene.
- Both victims exited the train at Belmont and flagged down officers, and one victim was treated at the scene by paramedics.
- Police describe the suspect as a Black man about 35–40 years old, 6'0"–6'2" tall, 270–285 pounds, with short black hair and facial hair, wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, black boots and carrying a black backpack and a black-and-yellow jacket.
