Overview
- An 18-year-old woman was walking home when a man on a bicycle allegedly grabbed, pushed her to the ground and choked her before she fought free and flagged down a passing motorist for help.
- Arlington Heights police opened an aggravated-battery investigation after the motorist called 911 and officers arrived at the scene near Windsor Drive and Jonquil Circle by Lake Arlington.
- Police described the suspect as a Black man about 6 feet tall with a muscular build, long braided hair, circular-framed glasses and wearing all black clothing, and said he fled south on Windsor Drive toward Palatine Road.
- The woman suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was reunited with family after the incident.
