Police Release Image in Aylesbury Sex Assault and Rolex Theft Probe

The method echoes earlier distraction thefts, with no confirmed link to the 2021 'Rolex Rippers' cases.

Overview

  • Thames Valley Police, which released a CCTV image in the case, said the attacker struck at about 12:45pm on April 8 on Richmond Road in Aylesbury and ran off with the victim’s Rolex.
  • The woman first offered cleaning and gardening work, then offered sexual services and touched the man over his clothing before grabbing the watch and fleeing.
  • Officers said the suspect is a white woman in her 20s or 30s, around 5ft tall, with long dark hair, who wore a black baseball cap and light clothing and may have a Spanish accent.
  • Police urged anyone with information to report online or call 101 quoting reference 43260169849, and to upload dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage through a dedicated portal, with Crimestoppers available on 0800 555 111 for anonymous tips.
  • Reporters note similarities to a 2021 series in southern England in which women used close contact to steal high-end watches from older men, though detectives have not established a link to those cases.
