Overview
- Two men attacked a man just outside Worcester Foregate Street station, repeatedly punching and stamping on him as he lay on the ground in an assault that occurred just before 8pm on Friday 3 July.
- The victim was taken to a local hospital and remains in a critical condition as detectives continue their inquiry.
- British Transport Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to and asked anyone with information to contact them, quoting reference 642 of 3 July.
- Officers, paramedics and an air ambulance attended the scene and a small area outside the station was cordoned off while enquiries were carried out.
- Detectives say the investigation relies on public sightings and footage from station and nearby cameras, and anyone who recognises the men should text 61016, call 0800 40 50 40 or give anonymous tips to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
