Overview
- British Transport Police released images after a reported racist hate crime on the 6:38pm Derby to Cardiff Central service on 30 January, where a man allegedly used racial slurs for about 15 minutes before leaving at Burton-on-Trent, quoting reference 663 of 30 January.
- In a separate appeal, BTP issued a CCTV image after a male passenger was sexually assaulted on a South Western Railway train from Staines to Clapham Junction at about 7:45pm on 31 December 2025, asking witnesses to quote reference 266 of 1 January.
- West Midlands Police published two images after a girl was sexually assaulted on the 11A National Express West Midlands bus toward Acocks Green from Erdington at around 5:15pm on 2 November 2025, citing crime reference 20/436670/25.
- Officers described the train sexual assault suspect as a white man in a black hat, grey T-shirt and black hoodie and asked anyone who recognises him to contact BTP via 61016, 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers.
- Investigations remain ongoing, with police urging information and tip-offs through hotlines, live chat or anonymously via Crimestoppers, noting the bus images are low quality.
