Police Probe Linked Car Fires in Kirkcaldy After Early-Morning Attacks

The cases add to ongoing arson inquiries across Fife, Lanarkshire.

  • Two vehicles were set alight in Kirkcaldy at 3:05 am and 3:25 am on November 13 at Lawson Gardens and Haig Avenue.

  • Scottish Fire and Rescue crews extinguished the blazes and reported no casualties after responding in the early hours.
  • Separately, officers renewed an appeal over an October 6 Larkhall arson that damaged four cars, with CCTV and doorbell or dash-cam footage under review and reference 0086 of October 6, 2025.
  • The latest attacks are being reported against a backdrop of previous vehicle arson in nearby Glenrothes in June–July 2024 that destroyed six cars, a caravan and 13 garages.
