- Witnesses said three people wearing hoods smashed a front window and sprayed a liquid they believed to be an accelerant into the property before leaving the scene.
- Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines and crews used breathing apparatus, two hose reels, a thermal camera and a gas monitor to extinguish the blaze and make the area safe.
