Overview
- Emergency crews to Holmcroft Park at about 6.30pm Saturday found a 15-year-old critically hurt by a fallen tree and he was pronounced dead just after 7.30pm.
- Police kept a large cordon around the park Sunday as investigators examined the site and said their inquiries are ongoing.
- The boy was named as Brodan Dubickas, a Sir Graham Balfour Year 10 pupil, after his parents released a tribute through Staffordshire Police on Monday.
- Nearby residents told reporters the tree had leaned for days and one said she warned Stafford Council earlier in the week, claims not yet confirmed by officials.
- Tributes from his schools and sports clubs poured in and a GoFundMe organised by family friend Kathryn Lockley has raised thousands toward a £28,000 goal.
