Overview
- Jana Armstrong, 30, was last seen on Tuesday in Newtown, Toowoomba, and was reported missing the following day when her disappearance became apparent to family and police.
- Her white Hyundai Kona was found unlocked and parked at the corner of Jellicoe Street and Gordon Avenue on Wednesday morning, about 500 metres from her home.
- Police have released CCTV tracking the vehicle through Rangeville, Preston and Darling Heights on the night of July 7 and have urged anyone with footage from those suburbs to come forward.
- Search teams from the Queensland Police Service and the State Emergency Service are combing bushland including Black Gully Reserve and Tabletop Drive while forensic officers continue to examine the Newtown duplex and the vehicle.
- Armstrong’s four-month-old son is safe with relatives and her family say the disappearance is out of character, expressing grave concerns for her welfare and asking the community to check cameras and local gullies for any sign of her.
