Police Hunt Pair Who Assaulted Guitarist Daniel "Alambre" González in Caballito Home Invasion

Prosecutors requested security footage to identify the pair who stole his guitars.

Overview

  • Two assailants posing as neighbors threatened González with a weapon in the elevator around 4:30 a.m. Sunday and forced him into his apartment in a building on Avenida Avellaneda al 100.
  • They beat, tied, and gagged the 69-year-old musician before fleeing with two electric guitars, guitar pedals, a cellphone, and cash.
  • Among the stolen instruments was his main Telecaster, a customized “Frankenstein” guitar with deep sentimental value.
  • The investigation is led by Fiscalía Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional N°18, headed by Marcelo Ruilopez, which requested building and street camera images as the suspects remain at large.
  • His manager said González is a bit bruised but okay, while colleagues and fans launched the “Alambre y amigos” fundraiser (alias alambreyamigos, account holder Paula Delfina Chelle) and urged vigilance on resale platforms.
