Overview
- Officers responding to reports at a Corrimal St unit complex, which came late Tuesday night, found two men hiding who said they were looking for a crashed drone.
- A search of the complex then turned up a damaged DJI drone carrying an unsealed dog waste bag with 66 grams of methylamphetamine.
- Following Wednesday's warrant at a Cliff Rd home, police say they seized 42 grams of meth, $4,350 in cash, a baton and an electronic stun device, bringing the total seized to 108 grams.
- The men, aged 24 and 43, were charged with supplying and possessing prohibited drugs plus entering enclosed land without lawful excuse before being refused bail at a Bail Division hearing.
- Police will allege the drone was used to deliver drugs, and the case is now listed for Wollongong Local Court on May 12.
