Police Arrest Driver After Officer Is Hit Near Baltimore Running Festival

Investigators say the officer is at Shock Trauma for precautionary evaluation, with charges and motive not yet released.

  • The officer was struck at about 9:43 a.m. at Whitelock and McCulloh streets along the Baltimore Running Festival route.
  • The vehicle fled the scene before investigators located a 42-year-old suspect on the 2400 block of West Cold Spring Lane, conducted a traffic stop, and made an arrest.
  • The arrested driver was transported to the Central Booking & Intake Center, police said.
