Police Appeal After Man in His 30s Killed in A1(M) Collision Near Stevenage

Detectives are collecting dash-cam footage under Operation Grappier.

  • Hertfordshire Police say the man is believed to have been getting out of a broken-down silver Honda Civic that had stopped on the grass verge near the slip road.
  • Drivers of both vehicles involved remained at the scene and are helping officers, with no arrests or charges reported so far.
  • The Serious Collision Investigation Unit led by Detective Sergeant Ben Heath is appealing for witnesses and asking anyone with dash-cam footage to submit it online quoting Operation Grappier.
  • Investigators will use statements, vehicle positions, and video to reconstruct what happened before any decision on possible charges.
