Pokémon Pokopia’s Bubbly Basin DLC Set for August 5, 2026

A free Ver. 2.0.0 update will add the Dive move to all players so they can explore and build underwater while the paid Expansion Pass delivers the new submerged town.

Overview

  • Nintendo confirmed in a seven‑minute trailer that Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, Bubbly Basin, will launch on August 5, 2026.
  • The same day a free Ver. 2.0.0 update will teach players Dive via the Pokémon Manaphy so every owner can swim, access submerged areas, and place underwater builds.
  • Bubbly Basin itself adds roughly 16 new Pokémon plus an underwater town to restore, new outfits and furniture, buoyant building blocks, a buildable Sharpedo submarine, and a watermelon crop mechanic.
  • The full Expansion Pass is sold as a $34.99 bundle that includes Bubbly Basin now, a Part 2 update with accessories and more items in late 2026, and a Part 3 town expansion planned for 2027; players must learn Dive and complete the Bleak Beach request to reach Bubbly Basin’s gate.
  • The update should reopen previously inaccessible underwater resources and design options, likely pulling players back into Pokopia’s creative building loop and changing how towns are planned and farmed in the game.
