Pokémon Pokopia Rolls Out Free 2.0 Update and Bubbly Basin DLC

The update's additions — Dive, motion‑sickness settings, bulk item transfer, underwater building — address long‑standing storage and usability complaints.

Overview

  • The free Ver. 2.0.0 update and Part 1 of the paid Expansion Pass, Bubbly Basin, went live Wednesday and are available to players who have installed the patch.
  • Ver. 2.0.0 adds the move Dive so players can move freely underwater, underwater building tools, motion‑sickness reduction options, bulk item transfer and many bug fixes as listed in Nintendo's official patch notes.
  • Bubbly Basin, included with the $34.99 Expansion Pass, opens a new underwater town with new habitats, underwater assets and dozens of additional Pokémon, with some reports listing as many as 50 new species.
  • Several outlets relayed a Famitsu report that a placeable shared storage container will allow cross‑town access to items with up to 140 slots, but Nintendo's patch notes instead confirm bulk transfer functions and new storage items without using the same 140‑slot wording.
  • The combined free update and paid DLC aim to fix core player complaints about inventory and building, and they form the first of three Expansion Pass parts with Part 2 planned for late 2026 and Part 3 scheduled for 2027.
