Pokémon Pokopia Launches Limited 'Wish Upon a Jirachi' Event

Participation requires an online update and specific in-game progress so players must prepare their Switch 2 and towns to claim star-themed rewards.

Overview

  • The Pokémon Company announced on Thursday that the 'Wish Upon a Jirachi' event runs from Tuesday, June 23 through July 8 and will let players befriend Jirachi and collect event-only wish notes.
  • To start the event players must have the game updated to version 1.1.0 and an active internet connection because the event content is delivered after release.
  • Jirachi appears at Pokémon Centers in towns that have at least one rebuilt Pokémon Center, and players begin by talking to Jirachi to learn a wish-note recipe.
  • Players must fulfill other Pokémon’s requests to transform ordinary wish notes into sparkling wish notes and then exchange those notes with Jirachi for starry-sky furniture and décor.
  • The event follows recent post-launch plans including a free update and Expansion Pass and highlights The Pokémon Company's strategy of limited-time in-game events to keep players returning to Pokémon Pokopia.
