Pokémon Legends: Z‑A Season 14 Is Flying‑Type Only

Forcing new team‑building, the ruleset draws competitors from both the base and DLC Pokédexes.

Overview

  • Season 14 was announced to start on July 15 at 11:00 p.m. PDT (July 16 in many regions) and will run through August 5 at 6:59 p.m. PDT, giving players roughly three weeks to climb the Ranked Battle ladder.
  • Only Flying‑type Pokémon may compete in Ranked Battles this season, and eligible fighters are drawn from the Lumiose (base) Pokédex and the Hyperspace/Mega Dimension (DLC) Pokédex.
  • Teams are limited to three Pokémon and may register just one Legendary—players must choose between Yveltal or Rayquaza for that slot.
  • Online matches keep the game's competitive rules: all combatants are auto‑set to level 50, four trainers face off in real time, and Mega Evolution remains a central mechanic; players can earn Mega Stones and themed Pretty Feather items as rank rewards.
  • The change continues Z‑A’s rotating seasonal rules designed to shift the online meta and is likely to push players to rebuild squads and spotlight underused Flying Pokémon from both the base game and DLC.
