Pokémon Champions Debuts on Mobile as 1.1.0 Adds Dozens of Mega Evolutions

The mobile launch with the 1.1.0 update brings new Mega forms, items, and abilities that will reshape the game's competitive ruleset.

Overview

  • The game launched on iOS and Android with cross-save and cross-play for Switch and Switch 2 players, widening access to Champions' ranked and casual modes.
  • Version 1.1.0 expands the playable roster by roughly 39 Pokémon, including many new Mega Evolutions such as Mega Raichu X and Y, according to community datamines and consolidated reports.
  • Two new abilities—Elevate, which makes Mega Eelektross immune to Ground moves and hazards and raises a stat after a KO, and Fire Mane, which boosts Fire moves—were added in the patch.
  • Season M3 began under the Regulation M-B ruleset and runs with a Hoenn theme and a new battle pass, and a limited login event running through September 2 offers a free Raichu plus Raichunite X and Y Mega Stones.
  • The update also adds many long-requested items and balance changes that alter moves and abilities, but full official patch notes are still awaited and some roster details come from dataminers rather than a company release.
