Poinsettia Bowl Returns To San Diego Dec. 23

SDCCU is sponsoring a Pac-12 versus Power‑4 bowl that the CW will televise to drive local economic activity and expand the network’s college football slate.

Organizers confirmed the 13th SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl will be played at Snapdragon Stadium with a 4:30 p.m. kickoff and a national broadcast on the CW.
The matchup is set as the Pac-12 against a Power‑4 opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, or Big 12, but specific teams have not yet been selected.
San Diego County Credit Union returns as title sponsor and said the partnership is intended to bring community benefits and regional economic impact through game-related spending.
Tickets will be released in phases, giving first access to annual Holiday Bowl ticket holders, then an exclusive presale for SDCCU members, followed by a public sale in September.
The Poinsettia Bowl traces to a 1950s military exhibition and was revived as an NCAA bowl in 2005 with SDCCU as sponsor; San Diego State has appeared three times and the game last ran in San Diego in 2016.
