PMD Forecasts Light Rain, Snow for Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday

PMD attributes the spell to a shallow westerly over northern to western Pakistan.

  • Light rain and snowfall are likely at isolated locations including Chitral (Upper and Lower), Upper Dir, Swat, Shangla, Abbottabad, and Kohistan (Upper and Lower).
  • Strong winds with light rain, thunder and lightning, and light mountain snowfall may occur in Kolai-Palas, Torghar, Battagram, Mansehra, and Kurram.
  • Fog is forecast at night and early morning in Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Dera Ismail Khan.
  • Observed lows include Kalam at -6°C and Malam Jabba at -5°C, with Parachinar and Durosh at -1°C and Chitral at 0°C, while recent reports noted 1 mm of rain at Pattan and Peshawar minimums are projected at 6–8°C Tuesday, 7–9°C Wednesday, and 8–10°C Thursday.
