Military leaders used the platform to signal deterrence.

Overview

  • The Pakistan Military Academy Kakul parade, which commissioned the 153rd PMA Long Course, 38th Technical Graduate Course, 72nd Integrated Course, 15th Mujahid Course and 27th Lady Cadet Course Saturday, marked the entry of new Army and women officers into service.
  • Addressing graduates, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu praised recent operations known as Marka-e-Haq and Bunyan-um-Marsoos and said the Air Force had neutralized enemy aircraft, adding that any aggression would draw a rapid, firm response.
  • ISPR listed top honors including the Sword of Honour to Academy Senior Under Officer Bilal Nasim, the President’s Gold Medal to Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Saad Musa, and the Overseas Gold Medal to Nepal’s Pobin Kunwar.
  • Thirty cadets from friendly countries graduated alongside Pakistanis, with participants from Iraq, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar and Sri Lanka, and Sri Lankan officers Naini and Milani among the women passing out.
  • The parade pressed on through rain as cadets kept formation, underscoring PMA’s emphasis on discipline and its role as a training hub that also supports defense diplomacy.
