- On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered senior Federal Board of Revenue officials to visit Karachi in the first week of every month so they can meet traders and industrialists and resolve tax grievances quickly.
- FBR officials have installed production-monitoring systems in sugar, cement, tobacco, tiles and fertiliser factories and are rolling the systems out to textiles and beverages to track output and detect underreporting.
