PlayStation Staggers June PS Plus Extra and Premium Game Drops

Sony is testing a region‑specific rollout in the US, UK and Japan to spread new catalog releases across June and measure subscriber engagement.

Overview

  • Sony published the June PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineup and began a staggered roll out that started with Sonic X Shadow Generations on June 10 in the US and UK and June 11 in Japan.
  • Final Fantasy XVI and the PS2 classic Gitaroo Man are scheduled for global availability on June 16 for Extra and Premium subscribers.
  • The remaining Extra titles are split across later dates in select markets, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Life Is Strange: Double Exposure on June 23 and Farming Simulator 25, Blades of Fire and Black Desert on June 30.
  • Only PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium (Deluxe) members will be able to download these Game Catalog additions while Essential tier subscribers do not gain access to the catalog titles.
  • Coverage frames the staggered schedule as a deliberate experiment to drive repeat engagement and collect data, and it continues Sony’s practice of rotating high‑profile games into the subscription catalog to boost perceived value.
