PlayStation Delists Destruction AllStars and Shuts Down Multiplayer

Sony says ongoing technical issues forced the immediate offline status and it set a November 25, 2026 deadline for remaining single-player access.

Overview

  • PlayStation removed Destruction AllStars from the PlayStation Store and disabled multiplayer services on May 26, 2026, according to notices sent to players and in-console messages.
  • Sony told players that multiplayer will remain offline because of “ongoing technical issues” and that overall server support will end on November 25, 2026.
  • The game's paid currency, Destruction Points, has been taken off sale but can be redeemed in available single-player modes until the November shutdown, with Arcade Mode challenges expected to remain playable afterward.
  • Destruction AllStars launched in February 2021 from Lucid Games, received mixed reviews, lost most of its player base, and community reports say online play had effectively been broken since 2024.
  • The closure follows other PlayStation live-service retreats and adds momentum to calls for clearer end-of-life rules for online games while raising questions about studio capacity after Lucid's acquisition by Tencent/Lightspeed.
