Playsport Announces Motorsport Manager 2 for 2027

Designed to widen management across single-seater, GT and endurance series, the sequel adds segmented weather simulations, smarter race AI, day-one mod support.

Overview

  • Playsport revealed Motorsport Manager 2 in a short teaser on Thursday, confirming a 2027 release window and a fuller gameplay reveal planned for the autumn.
  • Players will again act as a Team Principal and manage drivers, staff, car development, finances and race-day calls across single-seater, GT and endurance categories.
  • The studio says on-track simulations will be more reactive with opponents adjusting strategy in real time and a new weather system that can change across different parts of a circuit.
  • Playsport has committed to full mod support from day one and has the game available to wishlist on Steam while the original Motorsport Manager is discounted in the Steam Summer Sale.
  • Playsport regained the Motorsport Manager rights from Sega earlier this year, a move that enabled the sequel and keeps the game unlicensed so developers and modders can create fictional series, rivalries and recreated real-world championships.
