Overview
- Playground Games and Xbox released a 30-minute gameplay walkthrough on Wednesday that focuses on a “living population” of NPCs and life-simulation systems.
- The company confirmed the game will launch on February 23, 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will be available day-one on Xbox Game Pass.
- Playground said the world contains about 1,000 NPCs and more than 150,000 lines of dialogue with over 1,000 hours of recorded material across multiple studios.
- The demo shows players can buy businesses and homes, hire and romance NPCs, earn passive income, pay to change local reputations, and face bounties and militia when they break the law while combat mixes melee and magic.
- Developers called the side content a systemic “game-within-a-game,” said more deep dives are planned, and Microsoft moved the release into February to give the studio room to market the title and avoid a crowded holiday window.
