Overview
- Players begin as tourists and must clear Horizon Qualifiers and the Horizon Invitational to earn the first of seven Wristbands on the path to Horizon Legend status.
- Securing all seven Wristbands unlocks Legend Island, which features exclusive events including the series’ longest Goliath race, the Colossus.
- A separate Discover Japan track grants Stamps for exploration-focused activities such as photography, Horizon Stories, Touge battles, night street races, and a new food‑delivery side hustle.
- Progress via Discover Japan also unlocks in‑game rewards like player houses and Barn Find rumors, encouraging off‑race exploration.
- Hypercars are restricted from Festival races until late progression tiers, including the Purple Wristband, and the campaign supports solo or co‑op play ahead of an Xbox/PC launch in May with PS5 to follow later in 2026.
