Planned Water and Power Cuts Hit Numerous Districts of Lima and Callao

Authorities say the scheduled maintenance will strengthen distribution networks with water tankers and public timetables in place.

Overview

  • Planned interruptions announced by Sedapal and Pluz Energía are active or imminent for multiple districts, following timetables published for June 3–6 and with broad activity on Thursday.
  • Electricity work runs from June 4 to June 6 in many areas, with some outages—as reported by operators—lasting more than ten hours in districts such as Ventanilla, San Juan de Lurigancho, Puente Piedra and Carabayllo.
  • Sedapal scheduled reservoir cleaning and pipeline work that will cut water to sectors of Ate, San Juan de Lurigancho, Puente Piedra, Villa María del Triunfo, San Isidro and Magdalena for multi‑hour windows on June 4 and 5.
  • To reduce disruption, Sedapal has positioned tanker trucks at strategic points and both providers urge residents to consult official channels for exact local timetables and updates.
  • Residents are advised to store water, charge phones and power banks, unplug sensitive appliances, and plan refrigerated-food use because long outages can affect households, businesses and daily services.
