Pietro Lombardi’s Forgotten Waist Bag Returned Intact With €3,000 and Documents

Eurowings staff located the bag at Palma airport and returned it, preventing loss of cash and the administrative burden of replacing identity papers.

Overview

  • Lombardi left a small waist bag on a Eurowings flight to Palma and only noticed it was missing after arriving at his Megapark engagement on Thursday.
  • Airline crew found the bag in the cabin, handed it to the Mallorca lost-and-found and alerted Lombardi, who collected it in Palma.
  • The bag contained about €3,000 in cash plus ID, bank cards and other important documents, all of which Lombardi said were returned intact.
  • On his return trip Lombardi received a FaceTime call about his son Alessio, who was treated for an arm injury later diagnosed as a hairline fracture.
  • Lombardi recounted the episode on the Patchwork Boys podcast and publicly thanked Eurowings, a resolution that avoided financial loss and time-consuming paperwork and highlights how quick airport procedures can protect passengers’ belongings.
