Phoenix Unveils 2026 Women’s Final Four Plans With Free Downtown Fan Events

ASU, the host institution, has mobilized event staff ahead of key announcements.

Overview

  • Phoenix will host the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four for the first time, with games at Mortgage Matchup Center April 3–5 and the championship on April 5.
  • A Feb. 24 kickoff at the arena featured Mayor Kate Gallego and NCAA officials including Lynn Holzman and Amanda Braun.
  • Tourney Town at the Phoenix Convention Center will be free and open to the public, offering interactive games, skill contests and sponsor activations from April 2–5.
  • Additional free programming includes a new 3rd Street block party, a downtown dribbling parade for kids and a concert at Hance Park, with the headliner to be announced in the first week of March.
  • ASU’s athletic department will lead operations with teams for media relations, statistics, sports medicine and visiting‑team liaisons, with the 68‑team field to be revealed March 15.
