PFL San Diego Payouts Show McKee $100,000 and Main-Event Loser $10,000

CSAC’s disclosed purses expose wide pay gaps and prompt scrutiny over whether the published figures reflect fighters’ full compensation.

Overview

  • A. J. McKee defeated Salamat Isbulaev by unanimous decision with three 30-27 scorecards in the main event, handing Isbulaev his first professional loss on June 27.
  • The California State Athletic Commission’s posted payout list shows McKee was paid a flat $100,000 while Isbulaev’s disclosed purse was $10,000.
  • The CSAC report lists other top disclosed amounts as Liz Carmouche $100,000 and Alexandr Shabliy $50,000, and it shows seven of 18 fighters earned under $15,000.
  • State disclosures cover only contracted purses and do not include discretionary promoter bonuses, performance bonuses, commission deductions, or sponsorship income, so actual take-home pay may be higher or lower.
  • The public release has renewed scrutiny of fighter pay and contracts and strengthens McKee’s case for a featherweight title shot while putting pressure on comparisons of PFL pay with other promotions.
