Petrobras Sets 2025 Production Records, Exceeding Its Plan

Pre-salt dominance alongside new FPSOs powered the company's strongest annual performance.

Overview

  • The company pumped 2.40 million barrels of oil per day in 2025, up 11% year over year and above the plan’s upper bound of 4% growth.
  • Total oil and gas output reached 2.99 million boe/d with 11% growth, 2.8 percentage points over the top of the target range.
  • Commercial production totaled 2.62 million boe/d, also surpassing the internal goal.
  • Pre-salt output accounted for 82% of production, with new annual records of 2.45 million boe/d (own) and 3.70 million boe/d (operated).
  • Two new FPSOs started up as Almirante Tamandaré averaged about 240,000 b/d in November–December, Búzios hit 1 million b/d operated with six platforms, and the P-78 came online on December 31 to sustain growth.
