- Government documents show the Ministry of Culture formally conferred the Medalla de Honor de la Cultura to María Angélica Ayllón Urbina, known as Eva Ayllón, through Resolución Ministerial N.° 000222-2026-MC signed by Minister Fátima Altabás and published in El Peruano on Saturday.
- The resolution cites Ayllón’s more than 50 years as a leading exponent of Peruvian music and credits her with keeping criolla and Afro-Peruvian musical traditions alive both inside Peru and abroad.
