Overview
- The government issued Supreme Decree No. 102-2026-EF that establishes permanent monthly increases for pensioners under Decreto Ley No. 19846 and for Montepío survivor beneficiaries.
- The increases range by pensionable rank from S/237 to S/1,028 per month with the largest gains for the highest-ranking officers and smaller amounts for technicians and subofficers.
- MEF’s Dirección General will update pension amounts de oficio in the AIRHSP payroll application so beneficiaries receive the new amounts effective June 2026 without filing paperwork.
- For survivor pensions the decree caps the increase at the amount the titular pensioner would have received and requires proportional division when there are multiple beneficiaries.
- The decree charges the cost to the institutional budgets of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the Interior, which could shift spending priorities inside those ministries and affect their fiscal plans.
