- The Simulacro Nacional Multipeligro is set for Friday, May 29 with a 10:00 a.m. start and school participation staggered in three shifts at 10:00, 15:00 and 20:00 to cover all enrollments.
- Officials say more than 9.3 million students, about 612,924 teachers and staff, and 87,341 educational institutions will take part in drills organized by INDECI with the Ministry of Education.
- Each region will rehearse the hazard most likely to affect it, so coastal areas will focus on earthquakes and tsunamis while Andean and Amazon zones will practice responses to intense rains, floods and huaicos.
