Overview
- Two officers swam about 200 metres to reach a woman clinging to a red navigation marker near the Narrows Bridge after a passer-by called for help Thursday morning.
- Water Police pulled all three aboard a boat and took them to Elizabeth Quay for paramedic checks.
- The woman, in her 30s, went to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for precautionary tests, and the officers were monitored for hypothermia.
- Perth district Superintendent Amber Harvey called the rescue an outstanding display of quick thinking and said the pair will be nominated for a Royal Life Saving bravery award.
- Police have not said how the woman entered the river, so the circumstances remain unclear.
