Overview
- Officers responded around 2 p.m. Friday to a reported home invasion on the 1900 block of Butternut Lane in Northbrook after the suspects had fled.
- Illinois State Police located the suspects’ vehicle on I-94 near 75th Street, pursued it to Englewood, and multiple persons of interest were taken into custody after occupants ran into a home.
- Northbrook police now say persons of interest are in custody in connection with Friday’s Northbrook case and a March 8 home invasion in Winnetka.
- Assisting agencies include the FBI, ATF, Cook County Sheriff, Illinois State Police, and the Chicago, Glencoe, and Winnetka police departments.
- Investigators have increased residential patrols, are seeking tips and home surveillance video, and ask anyone with information to call Northbrook police at 847-564-2060.
