Overview
- The probe began after a mother filed a complaint on June 10 alleging sexual assault by a 25-year-old animateur at a Morières-lès-Avignon centre aéré.
- On Friday the prosecutor announced the man was formally charged for sexual assaults on three children aged about three to four and that several parents have filed complaints.
- He is under strict contrôle judiciaire that requires medical or psychological care and bars him from the Vaucluse, school perimeters, contact with minors, and communication with victims and witnesses.
- The municipality suspended him for six months and the Association d’aide aux victimes (Amav) has contacted identified families to offer psychological and legal support.
- Investigators used a child-adapted 'Mélanie' interview room to take testimony and said the examining magistrate will continue work to identify any other victims as the inquiry develops.
