- The Defense Department posted its sixth PURSUE tranche of declassified UAP records on Friday, September 18, 2026.
- The release includes DIA/AAWSAP reference documents that review speculative technologies such as warp drives, wormholes, invisibility cloaking, antigravity and exotic propulsion and the Pentagon says those papers are reference syntheses rather than validated science.
- One 2025 report in the tranche describes six small spherical objects flying together over a desert region at about 480 miles per hour and includes roughly one minute of accompanying footage.
- The files also contain two cellphone videos submitted by a Colorado law-enforcement officer in October 2023 showing a silent object with red, blue and green flashing lights and AARO warned that cellphone autofocus and digital processing can distort distant objects’ appearance and motion.
- The drop adds historical Project Blue Book material including a 1952 Edward Ruppelt audio and a 2010 medical incident study describing unexplained injuries, and critics have questioned the timing of the release as politically motivated while supporters say the rolling disclosures aim to increase government transparency.
